About the Buildings Sector
For the purposes of Tackling Climate Change, the Buildings Sector includes designers, developers, planners, owners, managers and all the trades and professions whose decisions influence the greenhouse performance of buildings. Key functions of the sector overlap or link with those of other sectors - most notably:
- the Community Sector – in the behavioural patterns of building users
- the Transport and Planning Sector – in urban planning elements such as the location and density of buildings
- the Energy and Industry Sectors.
